Austin Probate Attorney

What is Probate? Probate is the process of collecting and transferring ownership of an individual’s assets following his or her death. The Texas probate process can range from relatively straightforward to more burdensome. The degree of complexity of the probate process depends on a number of factors, including whether the individual left a Will, the contents of the Will, and the extent of the assets and debts of the estate.

The Texas probate process lacks the complexity of many other states; however, if you are named executor or administrator of the estate, you have a number of responsibilities to the estate and the beneficiaries. There are also a number of deadlines throughout the process. Understandably, the last thing you want to worry about after the death of a loved one is what to do with his or her Will or how to manage distribution of the remaining assets.

If you are the executor or administrator of an estate, we can guide you through Texas probate law to help ease what can be a cumbersome and complex process, especially during this difficult time. Whether a loved one left behind a will, or you need to probate an estate without a will, we’ve developed tools to ease the burden of the probate process.
